Team Indian Botanists Blog-o-Journal wishes you a very happy and prosperous new year.

Your Indian Botanists Blog-o-Journal has completed one year and ready to move forward for years ahead. We thank all the contributors, readers, visitors and well wishers for you support and encouragement. During the year 2013 we published total 72 posts from different areas and interest. To our surprise Indian Botanists Blog-o-Journal have crossed more than 80,000 visitors as on date. You might be aware that this blog-o-journal was started in November 2012, since then, we underwent lot of trials with regard to design and content. We received many suggestions and feedbacks for the improvement of this blog-o-journal. We are thankful to all of them. We also thank, who helped us in technical trouble shooting. We thank all those volunteers who spared their precious time in collecting information and also to reach you through different social medias. It was the group of aspiring scientists who suggested us to start ‘NET JRF Corner’  we thank to those students for suggesting a thread which became popular later on. We are grateful to all who contributed their articles and other information to Indian Botanists Blog-o-Journal to share with plant lovers.

We look ahead to improve more and make it more useful by posting quality content. We shall be coming with more features which will cater the interest and need of plant science lovers. We have a team of experts and active volunteers and we are constantly trying to increase our team members.

Many of our associates have suggested us to obtain ISSN and RNI (India) for Indian Botanists Blog-o-Journal, we are in process of the same and will try to obtain this year. We also received suggestions to start travel grant or summer-project fellowship for fresh graduates and aspiring scientists, a white paper is required to prepare to understand and develop the process for collecting and disbursing funds. To study the scope and limitation the work has been assigned to a team. We will announce the development if any in near future.

Fresh pass outs have demended to start a thread for job/vaccancy in different research institutes and universities. Indian Botanists Blog-o-Journal use to publish vaccancy position time to time, however we will try to increase its frequency and horizon.

We have started a series ‘Take the challenge’  for NET/JRF aspirants. We are trying to improve it and make it more synchronised and interactive. We will focus on CSIR-NET/JRF, DBT-NET/JRF, ASRB-NET, ASRB and other similar competitive exams. Our scope will be limited to plant science and other common areas of biology.

We understand our horizon is expanding much more and to achieve the objective we seek your support. We request all plant lovers, botanists to contribute for Indian Botanists Blog-o-Journal so that we can share the knowledge of plant sciences to a larger mass. We request you to submit research articles, note, presentation, news, openings, events, latest research findings, summary of scientific article, photo, drawing or any such information related to plant science and its interdiscipline.
